Academic Cooperation Agreement Signed Between Karadeniz Technical University and Cenfotec University of Costa Rica

Karadeniz Technical University (KTU) has signed its first academic cooperation agreement (MoU) with Cenfotec University, located in Costa Rica. This significant collaboration aims to support scientific research, develop student and faculty exchange programs, and conduct joint projects between the two universities.

To further advance the signed protocol, an online evaluation meeting was recently held. The meeting was attended by the Director General of International Relations, Prof. Dr. Sercan Erol; Vice Director General of International Relations, Dr. Hasan İslam Çopuroğlu; Lecturer Dr. Ulaş Kutsi Çezik from the Internationalization Coordination Office; and Dr. Yücel Bulut. Additionally, Dr. Mustafa Hakan Bozkurt from the Faculty of Engineering’s Department of Artificial Intelligence and Data Engineering participated, contributing to the expansion of the academic cooperation’s scientific scope.

During the discussions, particular emphasis was placed on conducting joint research projects and increasing information exchange in the field of quantum technologies. Considering the academic expertise and infrastructure of both universities, concrete steps are planned to develop mutual cooperation in various quantum fields.

KTÜ officials highlighted that this collaboration will enhance the university’s scientific presence on the international stage and create new opportunities for both students and academics. Furthermore, sustainable academic relations will be promoted through the organization of joint seminars, conferences, and workshops in the near future.

Karadeniz Technical University remains committed to intensifying its efforts to expand international collaborations.
