Karadeniz Technical University (KTU) International Advisory Board Meeting Held

The International Advisory Board Meeting of Karadeniz Technical University (KTU) was held online on June 18, 2026, with the participation of the board members.

The meeting commenced with the opening remarks of Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Ali Temiz. Following the opening speech, a comprehensive presentation was delivered to the board members, covering KTU's current institutional data, internationalization efforts carried out over the last two years, performance in international rankings, international cooperation agreements, student and staff mobility activities, and developments in research and education. The presentations particularly focused on expanding the university's international partnership network, developments in exchange programs, research collaborations, and its current position in global rankings. Taking the floor, the board members expressed their appreciation for the progress made by Karadeniz Technical University in the field of internationalization in recent years and offered various recommendations to further strengthen the university's global standing. During the discussions, the strategic importance of topics such as new bilateral cooperation agreements, joint and double degree programs, international research partnerships, postdoctoral researcher mobility, visiting researcher applications, and strengthening global academic networks was highlighted.

The views and recommendations shared by the board members have been recorded and will be forwarded to the relevant academic and administrative units for evaluation and the planning of necessary actions.
