Later, an expert from the University of Zagreb led a session on intellectual property management, researcher motivation, and balancing open science with commercialization. In the afternoon, experts from Karadeniz Technical University Technology Transfer Application and Research Center (KTU TTC) delivered a session titled “Commercialization and Entrepreneurship,” which covered technology development and assessment, prototyping (PoC), identifying market needs, and analyzing customer expectations through practical examples. The first day concluded with an interactive session by a representative of the Barcelona Chamber of Commerce on intellectual property valuation, licensing, and innovation marketing.
The second day focused on financing, collaboration models, and networking in technology transfer. Training sessions led by KTU TTC and the Slovak Centre of Scientific and Technical Information (CVTI SR) experts addressed funding mechanisms, credit and venture capital instruments, university–industry collaboration models, and the legal aspects of contracts and intellectual property. Following this, a representative from the Bulgaria Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI) delivered an interactive presentation on networking, partnership building, and trust development in the digital world.
The program concluded with a general evaluation session where participants had the opportunity to ask questions, followed by a project management briefing delivered by KTU TTC experts.
