Why Explore This Database?
“Model Project Database” is developed within the scope of the “Transnational Technology Transfer Network for the Black Sea Basin (T3N-BSB)” project which is supported by the INTERREG NEXT Black Sea Basin Program. The project is led by the Karadeniz Technical University Technology Transfer Application and Research Center (KTU TTC), in partnership with the Centre for Research and Technology Hellas (CERTH) from Greece, the Bulgarian Association for Transfer of Technology and Innovation (BATTI) from Bulgaria, and the Dunarea de Jos University of Galati (UDJG) from Romania.
This database focuses on projects promoting blue economy, low-carbon & clean energy solutions, climate change adaptation and its impacts and many other subjects, serving as a practical tool for sharing knowledge, encouraging new partnerships, and strengthening regional cooperation. Most importantly, this database is designed to promote the dissemination and wider adoption of successful project outcomes, helping to scale up positive impacts throughout the region and beyond.
Model Project Database provides a structured collection of 66 projects where partners have taken part as coordinators or consortium members. The database features projects implemented by institutions from Türkiye, Bulgaria, Greece, and Romania, covering diverse thematic areas across the Black Sea Basin and wider European region. It includes key details such as project objectives, outcomes, funding sources, and lessons learned, making it easier for interested target groups to explore proven approaches and build new initiatives on existing results. The projects presented in the database have been supported not only by national funding programmes of the participating countries but also by major international funding programmes such as Interreg NEXT Black Sea Basin, Horizon Europe, Erasmus+ and etc.
As a comprehensive and accessible resource, the Model Project Database is designed for researchers, higher education institutions, public institutions, private sector representatives, policymakers and civil society actors interested in advancing sustainable development, blue economy, low-carbon growth, climate change adaptation and resilience, circular economy, renewable energy, green innovation, and other areas contributing to environmental and socio-economic transformation and more.
By bringing together successful national and international projects in one place, the database enhances visibility for participating institutions and supports informed decision-making in future project development.
