As the Karadeniz Technical University Technology Transfer Application and Research Center (KTU TTC), we hosted a meaningful event as part of World Intellectual Property Day and Patent Week. During the event titled “KTU Patent Garden Sapling Planting Day”, a sapling was planted for each registered patent.

The event took place on Thursday, April 24th, at 10:00 AM in the front garden of KTU TTC.

Participants included KTU Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Ömer Faruk URSAVAÅž, KTU TTC Director Lecturer Emrah AYVAZ, Research Coordinator Assoc. Prof. Dr. Burak BARUT, BAP Coordinator Prof. Dr. Gökhan APAYDIN, and patent holders from our university who have contributed through their inventions.

In the speeches delivered during the event, it was emphasized that academic work at our university contributes not only to science but also to the environment. The ceremony highlighted that each patent leaves a mark for the future, while the saplings planted as symbols of innovation united science and nature.

As KTU TTC, we continue to blend science and nature for a sustainable future!
