Gaining the ability to work in interdisciplinary teams through internship

According to the Association for Evaluation and Accreditation of Engineering Programs (MÜDEK) (2.0.0) Criterion 3.1.vi, it is aimed to provide students with the opportunity to work in interdisciplinary teams. For this purpose, in addition to the internships carried out by students under the control and supervision of geomatics engineers in the public and private sectors in accordance with the Directive for Internship (Annex-17, article 1.2.), it has been put into effect that students are obliged to do internships under the control and supervision of different disciplines in order to provide all students with the ability to work in interdisciplinary teams.

The new regulation is as follows. ".... Directive for Internship, Article 1.2. According to MÜDEK Program Outcome VI, it is aimed to provide students with the opportunity to work in interdisciplinary teams. For this purpose, students are required to complete at least 20 days of their internship in interdisciplinary teams.  These teams should consist of members from at least two different disciplines. The people in these teams must be authorized to conduct the internship (at least 4-year faculty graduates).  In order to gain the ability to work in interdisciplinary teams, the above-mentioned regulation will provide the student with the ability to work in an interdisciplinary team in business life. ..."

With this arrangement, which was put into practice by the department and will be applied to students who have completed their internship, it is aimed at providing students with the ability to work in interdisciplinary teams.
