about - program educational objectives

The decisions taken as a result of activities such as the Education Commission, Quality and Accreditation Commission, internal and external stakeholder meetings, and Continuous Improvement Workshop were finalized at the Academic Board. As a result, the Department Program Educational Objectives were updated.

Department Undergraduate Program Educational Objectives are as follows:

Graduates, within a few years (3-5 years) following their graduation

PEO-1

Will be able to undertake different tasks in public institutions/organizations and domestic/foreign private sector organizations in the field of geomatics engineering or related fields,

PEO-2

Will be able to continue academic and/or continuing education programs for their professional career development,

PEO-3

Will be able to establish their own company as an entrepreneur in the field of Geomatics Engineering,

PEO-4

Will be able to take part in national or international projects.

Students' achievement of the Program Educational Objectives is evaluated by the Alumni Survey administered to those who have graduated from the program in the last few years and the Employer Survey administered to employers who employ them. These survey questions are matched with those in the educational objectives. The surveys are then administered. Survey results are analyzed, and the extent to which the educational objectives are met is reported. In addition, the private and public sector and graduate status of alumni are analyzed and reported with the Alumni Registry.
