Karadeniz Technical University Strengthened International Collaborations at EAIE 2025

Karadeniz Technical University participated in the EAIE 2025 by joining "Study in Turkey" booth alongside 88 other universities from Türkiye. The event brought together over 6,000 university representatives from over 90 countries worldwide. The university delegation, consisting of Rector Prof. Dr. Hamdullah CUVALCI, Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Ali TEMIZ, General Coordinator of Internatonal Relations Prof. Dr. Sercan EROL, team members of International Office Lecturer Zehra SAHİN BEKTAS and Lecturer Cigdem HUSEM, held numerous meetings on Erasmus+ student and staff mobility, as well as international projects and joint programmes.

As a part of the event, collaboration opportunities were negotiated with universities from several countries including Poland, France, South Korea, Hungary, Sweden, Germany and the USA. Contacts were made in strategic areas such as Horizon Europe, Erasmus Mundus, the European Solidarity Program and European University Alliances.

One of the most notable developments was signing a letter of intent with "Universiti Putra Malaysia" (UPM), ranked 134th in the QS World University Rankings. A similar agreement was also signed with Al-Sultan Abdullah University, Pahang, Malaysia. These collaborations aim to provide our students with broader exchange and internship opportunities in Asia.

During the event, our Rector Prof. Dr. Hamdullah ÇUVALCI, presented a plaque to İlker ASTARCI, President of the Turkish National Agency, highlighting the importance of internationalization for Karadeniz Technical University.
