Karadeniz Technical University (KTU) Expanded Its International Cooperation Network at EAIE 2026

Karadeniz Technical University (KTU) participated in the EAIE 2026 – European Association for International Education Annual Conference and Exhibition, held in Glasgow, Scotland, between September 8–11, 2026.
KTU was represented at the event by Prof. Dr. Sercan Erol, General Coordinator of International Relations and Erasmus+ Institutional Coordinator; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tane Vergili, Deputy General Coordinator of International Relations; and Lect. Zehra Şahin Bektaş from Office of Exchange Programmes team.. Promoting the University at the "Study in Türkiye" pavilion, the KTU delegation held bilateral meetings with higher education institutions from various regions of the world.
During the meetings, new agreements within the scope of Erasmus+ KA131 and KA171, as well as MoUs, academic exchange programs, joint project development opportunities, and long-term institutional collaborations, were negotiated. In this context, contacts were established with numerous institutions, notably the University of Zagreb, Centrale Lille Institut, University of Bordeaux, Universidad de Cádiz, Universidad de Sevilla, Jagiellonian University Collegium Medicum, Technical University of Košice, University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, Tecnológico de Monterrey, Universidade Federal do Espírito Santo, Accra Technical University, and Universidad Nacional de Colombia.
The meetings held with universities from Europe as well as North and South America, Africa, and Asia offered significant opportunities for expanding KTU's international partnership network into new regions, diversifying student and staff mobilities, and developing new academic and project partnerships.
Efforts to transform the contacts established at EAIE 2026 into concrete collaborations will continue in the upcoming period.
