Assist. Prof. Dr. Mario Bakota, an academic staff member from the University of Split, Faculty of Marine Studies in Croatia, visited Faculty of Marine Sciences at Karadeniz Technical University within the framework of Erasmus+ Staff Mobility. 

During his visit, which took place between December 15–19, 2025, Dr. Bakota conducted observations and engaged in collaborative academic work at the faculty. As a part of his programme, he also visited the Office of Exchange Programmes to exchange information regarding international cooperation between both universities. Dr. Bakota was hosted by the General Coordinator for International Relations, Prof. Dr. Sercan Erol, along with Lecturer Cigdem Husem and Lecturer Onur Aydin from the coordination team. The meeting concluded with the presentation of a gift bag to the guest lecturer as a token of appreciation.
