Negotiations are continuing to establish new bilateral agreements between Karadeniz Technical University and universities abroad. As a result of the negotiations carried out by Prof. Dr. Ercan KOSE, an academic staff member at the Surmene Faculty of Marine Sciences and with the support of the International Relations Office, an Erasmus+ KA171 agreement was signed between the University of British Columbia in Canada and Karadeniz Technical University. This cooperation agreement with UBC, which ranked 40th globally in the "QS World University Rankings" for 2025, will significantly contribute to KTU's achievement of the goals in its internationalization strategy. Thanks to this agreement, students of the Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering department will be able to study abroad and academic staff members will be able to participate in teaching or training mobility abroad within the framework of Erasmus+ Programme.
