Seminar “Superconductors: The Revolution of the Future” Given at Trabzon Science High School Ideathon

As part of the Ideathon event organized by Trabzon Science High School on May 16, 2026, a seminar titled “Superconductors: The Revolution of the Future” was held for high school students.

At the event, students were given information about superconductivity technology by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Canan AKSOY, a faculty member of the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering at Karadeniz Technical University, and Res. Asst. Bora ÇAVDAR, a research assistant in the Department of Energy Systems Engineering.

The seminar covered the basic principles of superconductivity, its property of resistance-free electrical conduction, magnetic levitation, energy systems, advanced technology applications, and potential areas of use in the engineering work of the future.

The event, which aimed to raise high school students' scientific awareness and support their interest in engineering fields, concluded with students' questions and mutual discussion.
