Karadeniz Technical University, Türkiye, is pleased to announce the Erasmus+ KA171 Incoming Staff Mobility Call for Applications under Project No. 2025-1-TR01-KA171-HED-000327950.

Academic and administrative staff from our partner universities are invited to apply for staff mobility at Karadeniz Technical University within the framework of the available mobility quotas.

Mobility Quotas 

The available mobility quotas for each partner institution are provided in the following table:

Staff Mobility Call is open to all academic staff working in specified in the inter-institutional agreement. Please see the detailed quota table for the list of fields that you can apply. The candidates from fields that are not included in the detailed quota table are ineligible for this mobility.

Please note that each partner institution can only nominate personnel within its allocated quota and from departments with which it has an agreement. Candidates selected from departments without an agreement will not be considered. 

Application Process

Applications shall be collected and evaluated internally by each partner university.

Following the internal evaluation process, partner institutions are required to notify Karadeniz Technical University of their selected primary candidates via Google Form:

The Google Forms link for nomination will be sent to partners later.

Individual applications sent directly to Karadeniz Technical University will not be accepted.

SELECTION and NOTIFICATION

Selection Criteria

Partner universities are expected to conduct their internal selection process in accordance with the principles of transparency, fairness, equal opportunity, and merit.

The following evaluation criteria should be applied:

1. Previous Participation in Erasmus+ Staff Mobility

Priority shall be given to applicants who have never previously benefited from Erasmus+ Staff Mobility.

The number of previous participations shall constitute the primary ranking criterion. Applicants with fewer previous participations shall be ranked ahead of those with more previous participations.

2. Evaluation Score

Following the ranking based on previous participation, applicants shall be evaluated according to:

• foreign language proficiency;
• documented additional evaluation points and/or point deductions;
• other applicable evaluation criteria established by the Erasmus+ Programme rules and the relevant Turkish National Agency Implementation Handbook.

Applicants shall then be ranked from the highest evaluation score to the lowest.

3. Tie-Breaking Rule

If two or more applicants have both:

• the same number of previous Erasmus+ Staff Mobility participations; and
• the same final evaluation score,

priority shall be given to the applicant with the longer length of service at the home institution.

4. Additional Points

An additional +10 points shall be awarded to applicants with documented disabilities.

Any additional points or deductions applied during the evaluation must be clearly documented by the partner institution.

• the number of previous Erasmus+ Staff Mobility participations; and
• the final evaluation score.

Nomination Procedure

Partner universities must submit their candidates to Karadeniz Technical University via Google Forms(the registration link will be shared later) before the nomination deadline(03 August 2026).

Important Notes

• Nomination by the partner university does not constitute final acceptance.
• Final acceptance is subject to eligibility verification, available project budget, completion of the required documentation, and approval by Karadeniz Technical University.
• Mobilities will be implemented in accordance with the Erasmus+ Programme Guide and the rules governing

Applications are received by partner institutions, evaluated transparently by a selection committee appointed by the university, and reported to Karadeniz Technical University, which is the project coordinator.

The number of main candidates specified in the table are subject to a second evaluation by the Karadeniz Technical University Selection Committee. On matters not included in this announcement text, the Erasmus+ Program Guide for the relevant call year published by the European Commission, T.R. Erasmus+ Handbook for

Higher Education Institutions for the relevant call year published by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Directorate for European Union Affairs, European Union Education and Youth Programs Center (Turkish National Agency), T.R.

Results will be announced by email to all applicants and shared with the partner institutions.

Selected staff will receive an official acceptance letter and further instructions for mobility arrangements.
