Duties:

To evaluate programme outcomes based on evaluations of programme outcomes by students, lecturers, external stakeholders and employers, as assessed by the Assessment and Evaluation Committee, and to prepare proposals for updating the curriculum. The reports are discussed in the Departmental Academic Board.

The Commission meets routinely three times a year. It meets at the beginning of the autumn semester in the week before the start of the courses and in the second week after the announcement of the results of the make-up examinations in the autumn and spring semesters. Although a quorum is required for the meeting, external stakeholders are required to attend the meeting.

One copy of the signed minutes of the meeting shall be completed within the week following the meeting and kept in the Archive of the Educational Development Commission, which shall be created in a suitable media environment provided by the Department. The other copy is sent to the Head of Department for discussion at the Academic Board.
