Students beginning to study geological engineering are introduced to rock-forming minerals and rocks through macro samples in this laboratory within the scope of course titled General Geology. The laboratory has a rich archive of rock-forming minerals and magmatic, metamorphic, and sedimentary rock groups.  In addition, this laboratory is also used for the detailed introduction of sedimentary rocks and sedimentary structures within the scope of the course titled Sedimentology. In addition to sedimentary rock types, the laboratory also has a sedimentary rock archive.
