The Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering Undergraduate Program in the Sürmene Faculty of Marine Sciences has been accredited by the Association for Evaluation and Accreditation of Engineering Programs (MÜDEK) for the period between May 1, 2025, and September 30, 2027. The official accreditation notice was signed by Prof. Dr. Cüneyt GÜZELÄ°Åž, Chair of the MÜDEK Engineering Accreditation Board (MAK), and Dr. M. Yavuz ERÇÄ°L, Chair of the MÜDEK Executive Board.

Commenting on the achievement, our Rector Prof. Dr. Hamdullah ÇUVALCI stated: “The accreditation of our Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering Undergraduate Program by MÜDEK is a clear indicator of our educational quality and our competence in the field of engineering. I sincerely congratulate all academic and administrative staff who contributed to this success. Our Sürmene Faculty of Marine Sciences will continue to make significant contributions to the development of the maritime sector in our country by training qualified engineers.”

With this accreditation, the program has gained increased recognition at both national and international levels, and the quality assurance of the education offered to our students has been officially validated.
