Our university’s Fırtına Creatiny Team has once again made us proud by claiming first place at the TEKNOFEST 2025 Hyperloop Development Competition, held between August 26–31, 2025 at the TÜBÄ°TAK Rail Transportation Technologies Institute (RUTE). The team successfully advanced more than 100 meters inside the test tunnel, lifting the championship trophy for the second consecutive year.

Beating 12 Rivals to Take the Lead

The KTU team outperformed 12 university teams, earning their trophy from TÜBÄ°TAK President Orhan AYDIN and TÜBÄ°TAK RUTE Director Tolgahan KAYA. Next, they will proudly showcase their achievement at TEKNOFEST Istanbul, taking place on September 17–21, 2025 at Atatürk Airport before millions of tech enthusiasts.

The championship-winning Fırtına Creatiny Team brings together talented students from multiple disciplines, including Mechanical Engineering: Abdullah TEPE (Captain), Abdulkadir DÜNDAR, Samet AKAR, Emirhan ÇALIÅžKAN, Nurullah CANBOLAT, Efe Kayra DEMÄ°R, Ä°layda KORKMAZ; Computer Engineering: Tolga TURAN, Beyza ÇOBUR, AyÅŸenur NAZLIOÄžLU, BaÅŸar YİĞİT, Alperen ALTUNEL, Metehan AKBULUT; Electrical & Electronics Engineering: Ä°brahim TUNCAY, Dilek ALTIN, Fazlı PERÇÄ°N, Halil Bahadır DÄ°KÄ°CÄ°, Hayrunnisa ATALAY, Sena KESKÄ°N; Software Engineering: Hilal Esma YILMAZ, Ahsen BÜLBÜL; Electronics & Communication Engineering: Ahmet Mert KAYA. The team was guided by academic advisor Asst. Prof. Dr. Caner SANCAK from the Department of Mechanical Engineering.
