KTU Academic Receives Kemal Erguvanlı Engineering Geology Award
Prof. Dr. Hakan ERSOY from our Department of Geological Engineering has been selected to receive the “International Article Award” as part of the Kemal Erguvanlı Engineering Geology Awards presented by the Engineering Geology Association (MJD).
Prof. Dr. Hakan ERSOY received the award for the article titled “Significance of Utilizing 3D Modeling to Assess the Impact of Underground Blasting on Surface Landslide Stability,” co-authored with Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mustafa KANIK.
Published in Volume 354 of Engineering Geology, the study examines the use of three-dimensional modeling to assess the effects of underground blasting on the stability of surface landslides.
Prof. Dr. Hakan ERSOY and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mustafa KANIK will receive their awards at a ceremony to be held in Ankara on November 13, 2026.
