Dr. Hulusi Akar, Chair of the TBMM National Defense Committee, delivered a talk on "Türkiye's Defense and Security Issues" at a university-hosted event attended by prominent figures, including former Minister of Transport and Infrastructure M. Cahit Turhan, Trabzon Governor Aziz Yıldırım, and university Rector Prof. Dr. Hamdullah Çuvalcı. 

Dr. Akar emphasized the increasing importance of defense and security strategies in today's geopolitical climate, highlighting Türkiye's advancements in military technology and the need for a robust stance in national and global defense. He also shared insights into the evolving nature of international conflicts, describing the current global situation as akin to the early stages of a Third World War. 

The event included remarks from Rector Çuvalcı, who praised the Turkish Armed Forces for their role in ensuring regional and global security, and Governor Yıldırım, who underscored Trabzon's historical significance in defense. 

The program concluded with a Q&A session, during which Dr. Akar addressed questions from students and attendees. He was presented with a commemorative plaque and posed for a group photo to mark the occasion.
