AltayCTF Team Featuring Our Student Ranks 12^th in the World

Our student Batuhanbey Köse, enrolled in the Artificial Intelligence Operations program in the Department of Electronics and Automation at Araklı Ali Cevat Özyurt Vocational School of Karadeniz Technical University, has attracted attention with his achievement at the international cybersecurity competition BrunnerCTF 2026.

Competing in BrunnerCTF 2026, an international cybersecurity competition that brings together numerous teams from different countries around the world, the AltayCTF Team ranked 12^th in the world among 1,103 teams.

A Significant Contribution to His Team

Our student Batuhanbey Köse, who competed under the username “p1p3t,” made a significant contribution to his team’s overall score of 5,990 points, earning 2,940 points himself. In the cybersecurity competition known as CTF (Capture the Flag), participants earn points by solving challenges based on areas such as Web Security, Reverse Engineering, Cryptography, Digital Forensics, and System Security. These competitions measure not only technical knowledge but also analytical thinking, research, and problem-solving skills.

Another Previous Achievement

The AltayCTF Team, featuring our student Batuhanbey Köse, had previously achieved another notable success in the Thryve CTF 2026 competition. The team ranked 1^st in the world in the Open category and 8^th in the overall world ranking, earning a total of 7,345 points.
