Introduction to Technology Transfer: Basic Concepts and Processes

Applications are now open for the "Introduction to Technology Transfer: Basic Concepts and Processes" Training Program

The training program titled "Introduction to Technology Transfer: Basic Concepts and Processes" developed within the scope of the STEIDA - Strengthening the Technology Transfer Ecosystem with Innovative and Digital Approaches Project, which is implemented by the Technology Transfer Application and Research Center of Karadeniz Technical University (KTU TTM) and supported under the Erasmus+ Program, will be delivered to participants through online sessions.

An Ecosystem Powered by Digital Networks

The STEIDA Project aims to enhance national and international collaboration among universities, academic staff, businesses, students, entrepreneurs, and other stakeholders by developing and effectively utilizing digital platforms and collaboration networks.

With its innovative and holistic approach, STEIDA aims to sustainably strengthen the technology transfer ecosystem and promote knowledge-based value creation.

STEIDA Consortium

The project, led by our center, involves strong institutions from different European countries as partners:

Developed under the leadership of our center, in collaboration with project partners from Bulgaria, Spain, Slovenia, Slovakia, and Croatia, the “Introduction to Technology Transfer: Basic Concepts and Processes” training program aims to strengthen participants' knowledge, skills, and practical capacity in the field of technology transfer.

Through the Training Program;

  • Learning about the actors, practices, and current strategies of the technology transfer ecosystem,
  • Strengthen your professional identity by specializing in intellectual property management and commercialization processes (licensing, spin-offs, etc.),
  • Learning Technology Readiness Levels (TRL) and Proof of Concept (PoC) processes, which play a critical role in turning your ideas into products,
  • Determining the commercial potential of your invention accurately through market analysis, segmentation, and intellectual property valuation methods,
  • Exploring avenues for accessing national and international funding sources (grants, angel investors, venture capital),
  • Understanding university-business collaboration models (contract research, strategic partnerships) through real-world case studies,

The program will equip participants with the skills to explore effective networking strategies, build trust-based business relationships, and develop collaborative skills in the digital world.

Participation, Certification and Implementation Details

• Participants will be awarded an international certificate of participation approved by the project partner institutions, provided that they fully attend the trainings.

 • The trainings are free and will be conducted online.

 • The event will last 3 days and is planned for approximately 15 hours in total.
