Artificial Intelligence and the Future Event Was Held
The event titled "Artificial Intelligence and the Future", organized by the Department of Software Engineering at Karadeniz Technical University (KTU), was successfully held on March 27 at the Nazım Terzioğlu Auditorium of the Faculty of Science with strong participation.
During the event, Prof. Dr. Ömer Delialioğlu from Middle East Technical University and Dr. Furkan Özçelik from Yale University delivered insightful presentations on the current role and future impact of artificial intelligence.
Prof. Dr. Delialioğlu, in his talk titled “Thinking Together with Artificial Intelligence”, discussed the cognitive aspects of human–AI interaction. Dr. Özçelik, in his presentation titled “Artificial Intelligence: Applications, Risks, and Debates”, addressed current applications of AI along with its potential risks and ethical considerations.
The event concluded with a panel and Q&A session, allowing participants to directly engage with the speakers and discuss emerging topics. The session was moderated by Dr. Merve Yıldırım, faculty member of the Department of Software Engineering at KTU.
The event provided a valuable platform for students and academics interested in artificial intelligence and was completed with high engagement.
