KARADENIZ TECHNICAL UNIVERSITY: AN OVERVIEW

Founded as a public university on the 20th of May, 1955, in Trabzon, Karadeniz Technical University (KTU) is the fourth oldest university in Türkiye. KTU has more than 30.000 students studying at short cycle, bachelor, master and PhD levels. With about 90 departments in 12 faculties, 6 institutes and about 2100 teaching staff, KTU is one of the leading higher education institutions in Türkiye.

Our university is located right next to the international airport on the Black Sea shore. The main campus, with its social and scientific facilities, is an outstanding site set in a wonderful nature, overlooking the Black Sea.

INFORMATION ABOUT THE ERASMUS+ STUDENT WEEK

We will be glad to host you as our international guests in our student week between 1-5 July 2024. The purpose of the event is to offer incoming students an unforgettable international experience among students from all around Europe in a friendly atmosphere and make it an entertaining and refreshing experience with various activities including a campus tour, city tour, visit to Sümela Monastery, optional outdoor activities at a camping area and a taste of delicious Turkish cuisine.

WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS?

- No participation fee
- Free accommodation + Free Lunch
- All activities are free of charge.

* Other expenses regarding your visit (including flight tickets and daily allowance) should be covered by yourself.

WHO CAN APPLY?

All university students studying outside of Türkiye can apply. Each application will be evaluated and an official acceptance letter will be sent to those whose applications are accepted.

DO YOU NEED TO APPLY FOR VISA?

Nationals of many countries can enter Türkiye without a visa for stays shorter than 90 days. Please check this link to see if you need a visa or not.
