Our University regulates the financial and employment-related rights of its employees in accordance with the legislation of the Republic of Türkiye and applies the principle of equal pay for equal work in its remuneration processes. Salaries of public employees are determined according to objective criteria such as position/title, staff grade, seniority, duties, and applicable financial entitlements; gender is not used as a criterion in determining pay.
The salaries and financial rights of academic and administrative staff are regulated primarily under Civil Servants Law No. 657, Decree-Law No. 375, and Higher Education Personnel Law No. 2914. This standardised remuneration system provides the main institutional framework for safeguarding pay equity by ensuring that women and men with the same status and comparable working conditions are subject to the same salary principles.
In addition, Law No. 6701 on the Human Rights and Equality Institution of Türkiye prohibits differential treatment based on grounds of discrimination, including gender, and safeguards the principle of equality in employment processes. Our University conducts its personnel and remuneration practices in accordance with this legal framework on equality and non-discrimination.
