Our department aims not only to equip its students with theoretical knowledge but also to train them as active researchers while they are still undergraduates. From Teknofest projects to TÜBİTAK 2209 research grants, our students produce technological solutions to real-world problems.
Led by our team that won first place in Türkiye in the Secure Satellite Communication competition, our students achieved top-level rankings in the Wireless Communication and Smart Transportation Systems categories.
Within the scope of the İstasyOF project, which focuses on amateur radio and satellite communication, we managed to deliver WSPR signals with a power of only 0.1 mW to the American continent. We also successfully received SSTV images from the International Space Station (ISS).
According to the 2025 evaluation results, we ranked first in the number of projects per faculty member across our faculty. With 11 active student projects, our department is the driving force behind this achievement.
Through traditional exhibitions such as "My First Electronic Circuit," our students share the prototypes they have designed with industry and academia. On technical trips to Ankara, they conduct field research at leading defense industry companies.
