Yaprak İlayda Yalvaç completed her undergraduate studies in Molecular Biology and Genetics at Erzurum Technical University, Faculty of Science, in 2013. And then, she specialized in molecular biology and microbiology and completed her master's degree in Microbiology at the Graduate School of Natural and Applied Sciences, Atatürk University, in 2020, with a thesis on "Production of Extracellular Polysaccharides from Locally Isolated Bacteria". Yalvaç is currently pursuing her doctoral studies at Karadeniz Technical University, Graduate School of Natural and Applied Sciences, Department of Molecular Biology and Genetics. Her thesis, supervised by Hacer Muratoğlu, is on "Investigation and Identification of Secondary Metabolites in Insect-Derived Bacillus Isolates". Yalvaç continues her academic career as a lecturer, having worked at Gümüşhane University after Avrasya University; she has been actively involved in microbiology, laboratory techniques, and applied courses. She has international publications on the production of extracellular polysaccharides exhibiting anticancer properties and has authored book chapters in the fields of public health and microbiology. In addition to holding various certifications in R&D activities and career development, Yalvaç further enhanced his expertise in genomic analysis and advanced molecular techniques by attending the Gülhane Next-Generation Sequencing (NGS) course.
