Mission

SÜRMENE FACULTY OF MARINE SCIENCES DEPARTMENT OF MARINE ENGINEERING OPERATIONS  trains qualified officers in international standards for the Turkish and world maritime industry. In addition, by providing STCW training to the seafarers of Turkey and the countries around the Black Sea, it fills the deficiencies of the seafarers both on the basis of education and certification. It is among the priorities of SÜRMENE FACULTY OF MARINE SCIENCES DEPARTMENT OF MARINE ENGINEERING OPERATIONS to carry out academic studies for the development of Turkish and world maritime and to contribute the results obtained from these studies to the maritime sector. One of the main objectives is to educate students as individuals who are disciplined, researcher, broad-minded, able to make quick and accurate decisions, and have leadership and managerial qualities. In addition, SÜRMENE FACULTY OF MARINE SCIENCES DEPARTMENT OF MARINE ENGINEERING OPERATIONS contributes to its employees in terms of following innovations, knowledge transfer and social improvement.
