Houston Rockets’ young star Alperen Şengün secured a spot in the 2025 NBA All-Star roster with his exceptional performance. Considered the future of Turkish basketball, Şengün is now among the league's rising stars, taking a significant step in his career with this selection. He became the second Turkish player chosen for the All-Star game after Mehmet Okur, who was selected in 2007.

The 2025 NBA All-Star Game took place on February 16, 2025, at the Chase Center, home of the Golden State Warriors. The game featured the best players from the Eastern and Western Conferences, who formed two teams for an entertainment-filled match. Playing in the NBA since 2021, Şengün has been averaging 19.1 points, 10.4 rebounds, and 5.0 assists per game this season, becoming one of the key players who is carrying his team.
