INTERNSHIP APPLICATIONS

1. CAREER GATE PROCESS

The determination of the internship location.

Students who will practice internship in the government (Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, General Directorate of Forestry, etc.) must apply through the career gate within the specified date intervals in order to intern.

After applying through the career gate, students who receive offers must accept them if they intend to practice internship during the desired period (summer semester). In selecting the internship date range, students must plan the daily internship period for 15-40 working days in accordance with the directive. The internship period to be counted starts on the first working day after the end of the semester for students who do not have supplementary exams and on the first working day after the end of the supplementary exams for students who have to take supplementary exams. The final internship date is until the start date of the next semester. Students are required to complete their internships before the start of the semester.

2. IMS PROCESS AND INITIATION OF INSURANCE PROCEDURES

For insurance procedures, each student will fill out the internship application form below and obtain a health provision document (which can be obtained via e-government). Each student will apply through their own KTU BYS system. Insurance procedures must be completed at least 20 days before the start date of the internship. Insurance application via KTU BYS system should only be done via computer, and the internet browser should be in full-screen mode. Otherwise, the progress tab may not appear in some cases during the application process. Additionally, problems may arise in applications via mobile devices.

There are three sections in the file upload section of the application stage. These are the "provision," "internship agreement," and "other documents (documents required for workplace approval)" sections. Since the internship agreement is not requested during the file upload stage, no file will be added to the "internship agreement" section. The health provision document will be added to the "provision" section in PDF format. The internship application form will be added to the "other documents (documents required for workplace approval)" section.

It is essential that the employer's authorized email address is correct on the internship application form and on the BYS system. Students must pay attention to this. The internship will be terminated with the confirmation message sent to the last authorized person's email address in the internship termination process. Otherwise, the termination process of your internship cannot be completed. This is very important for the student.

After completing the application process, please check that all necessary documents have been added without any omissions.

Internships of students whose insurance applications are not approved will not be accepted under any circumstances.
