About Us

KTU Graduate School of Natural and Applied Sciences was established in accordance with Article 28/7 of the Decree Law numbered 41 and published in July 20, 1982 within the scope of the 19th Article of the Council of Higher Education Law numbered 2547 and dated November 04, 1981. It was enacted with the law numbered 2809 and dated March 28, 1983.

Graduate School Administrative Committee, who performs the executive duty at the Graduate School, consists of six members, including the Graduate School Director, Associate Directors and three faculty members elected by the Graduate School Administrative Committee. The Graduate School Board, chaired by the Director of the Graduate School, consists of the Associate Directors of the Graduate School and the Heads of Departments. As the upper academic body, it fulfills the duties assigned to the faculty boards by the Higher Education Law in terms of the Graduate School. There are 36 departments in total in the Graduate School of Natural and Applied Sciences. These are as follows:

Our graduate school, which is in constant development, pushes graduate students to write perfect graduate thesis from academic and scientific perspectives. Our graduate school requires students to have certain level of English proficiency. Those, who do not meet the required level, study at English preparatory school for one or two years depending on their level.
