Important Notice for Prospective Interns!

"In accordance with the Regulation on the Procedures and Principles of Occupational Health and Safety Training of Employees, the employer of the workplace where the practical training is conducted is responsible for the training and informing of interns."
In this context, although our university has no direct obligation to provide the Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) training that students must undergo during their internships, it has been observed that workplaces frequently require an OHS certificate from students prior to the start of their internship.
To ensure our students do not experience any disadvantages during their internship processes and can meet these workplace requirements, our institution organizes a supplementary and free-of-charge Basic Occupational Health and Safety Training four (4) times a year. Please note that these training sessions are exclusively available to students enrolled in departments that have a compulsory internship in their curriculum.
Schedule Change for the Upcoming Training
The fourth Basic Occupational Health and Safety training of the 2025-2026 Academic Year, originally scheduled for June 29–30, 2026, has been rescheduled. Due to this planning change, the training will now take place as follows:
Date: May 11 – 15, 2026 (The training will last for a duration of 2 days within this window)
Time: 08:00 – 17:00
Location: KTÜ AKM Hasan Saka Hall
Accordingly, students planning to undertake an internship must notify the department secretariat by April 24, 2026.
