Prof. Dr. Tamer TÜZÜNER was born on August 23, 1979, in Trabzon. He completed his education at Gazi University Faculty of Dentistry, which he started in 1997, in 2002. In the same year, he began his doctoral/specialization training in the Department of Pedodontics at Gazi University Faculty of Dentistry, completing it in 2008, and started his position as Assistant Professor at the Department of Pedodontics at Karadeniz Technical University Faculty of Dentistry in 2009. He became an Associate Professor in 2013 and a Professor in 2019. He continues to serve as a member of the Faculty Administrative Board, President of the Scientific Research Ethics Committee, and Head of the Department of Pedodontics at Karadeniz Technical University Faculty of Dentistry. Prof. Dr. Tüzüner also serves as a member of the university senate. Prof. Dr. Tamer Tüzüner is a member of the Turkish Society of Pedodontics, the Turkish Dental Association, and the European Society of Pedodontics. He has experience in ERASMUS faculty mobility and has published around 100 articles in national and international journals, along with nearly 100 presentations. He has national research projects with Tübitak, Tüseb, Kosgeb, Doka, and Bap, as well as a national patent and a commercialized product. His Web of Science H-index is 16. His areas of interest include preventive dentistry, biomimetic dentistry, glass ionomer cements and antibacterial materials, atraumatic restorative treatment and minimally invasive dentistry, behavior guidance, digital dentistry and artificial intelligence and biostatistics applications. Prof. Dr. Tamer Tüzüner has a good level of English and is married with twin sons.
