
Nuran Aydın, RN, MSN, PhD, is a nursing informatics leader with over 30 years of clinical, academic, and administrative experience in nursing, health informatics, and artificial intelligence. She is the first nurse in Turkey to receive the “Informatics-Friendly Nurse” award and has conducted pioneering work on clinical decision support systems in nursing, digital health, and AI-supported care models. She has pursued her academic career at Koç University and Istanbul Medipol University, developing a strong expertise spanning pediatric nursing to health information systems.
Aydın is also the founding president of the Nursing Informatics Association, a board member of HIMSS Turkey, and a healthcare analytics executive who has led digital transformation projects in the health sector. With a hybrid career bridging academia, clinical practice, and the private sector, she advocates for the ethical, safe, and human-centered use of artificial intelligence in nursing and continues to work as an independent consultant on national and international platforms to help shape the digital future of the nursing profession.
