Prof. Dr. Kaan Orhan graduated from Ankara University Faculty of Dentistry and completed his doctoral education at the same university in the field of Oral, Dental, and Maxillofacial Radiology. He conducted doctoral research at Osaka University with a scholarship from the Japanese Ministry of Education (MONBUSHO). He was awarded the title of Professor in 2012 and currently serves as a faculty member in the Department of Oral, Dental, and Maxillofacial Radiology at Ankara University. He has also served as a visiting faculty member at the Catholic University of Leuven and the Medical University of Lublin, and in 2023, he received an honorary doctorate from Semmelweis University. He has over 400 international publications, more than 11,000 citations, and an h-index of 58. He has been listed among Stanford University’s “World’s Most Influential Scientists” and has held leadership roles in international associations in the field of dentomaxillofacial radiology.
