
Jabeen Fayyaz MD, FCPS, MCPS, DCH, CHSE, MHPE, PhD (Simulation) is a Pediatric Emergency Medicine physician, simulation scholar, and global medical education leader. She is based at The Hospital for Sick Children (SickKids) in Toronto, where she serves as Medical Director of the SimKIDS Simulation Program and the Teaching Scholars Program within the Learning Institute, and as Co-Director of the Pediatric Emergency Medicine International Clinical Fellowship. She is also a Staff Physician in the Division of Pediatric Emergency Medicine, Department of Pediatrics, and an Associate Professor in the Department of Pediatrics at the University of Toronto.
Dr. Fayyaz’s academic work focuses on simulation-based education, faculty development, patient safety, and health systems improvement, with a strong emphasis on equity, human-centered design, and capacity building in low- and middle-income countries. Internationally, she serves as President-Elect of the International Pediatric Simulation Society, Co-Chair of the IPSS-INSPIRE Pediatric Simulation Fellowship, and a Board Member of the International Network for Simulation-based Pediatric Innovation, Research, and Education. She is actively engaged in global teaching, research, and visiting faculty roles across South Asia, the Middle East, and Latin America, contributing to the advancement of simulation scholarship and emergency care education worldwide.
