Prof. Hossam Hamdy
Professor of Medical Education and Consultant
Prof. Hossam Hamdy is a distinguished surgeon, medical educator, and academic leader with more than 40 years of experience in higher education across the Middle East and internationally. He has held senior leadership roles at Suez Canal University, Arabian Gulf University, the University of Sharjah, and Gulf Medical University, where he served as Chancellor. Prof. Hamdy has contributed extensively to medical education innovation, research, and policy, and has served as a WHO Consultant and WFME Assessor. His outstanding contributions have been recognized with numerous international awards, including the Knight of the Order of Academic Palms and the Emirati Doctor Award (2023).
