The department that was founded in 1979 has an objective to equip the students with the accumulation of required knowledge about management of public and private sector with a particular emphasis on areas of human resource management, accounting, organization studies, industrial relations and operations management. It has a staff composed of 6 professors, 2 associated professors, 9 assistant professors and 9 instructors. The main focus of the department is in the provision of general management programs, and the main study areas are Accounting, Law, Computer Sciences, Commercial Law, Finance, Public Finance, Statistics, Marketing, Management and Administration, Administrative Sciences, and Social Sciences. The department of Business Administration prepares its students for setting the target for production to be made in institutions such as factories, banks, and foundations producing goods and services such as insurance and mines.
The Central Bank, public economic initiatives, State Planning Organization, local administrations, The Treasury and Foreign Trade Under secretariat, The Ministry of Interior Affairs, State Statistics Institute, Universities, The Ministry of Education, private banks include the areas of work for the graduates from the Department of Business Administration.
Students who wish to specialize in particular aspects of Business Administration have opportunities for doing so in the department through courses and work leading to MSc or PhD degrees.
