Summary:

      In this thesis, Arsin Industrial Park wastewater treatment plant and Hürriyet Inc. Projects were analysed besides how parameters and sizings which will constitute the basis of project desining were done and size values were compared with literature values. Having 85 firms and 3582 epmloyees, amount of water consumption in AOSB is 900 m3/day while 9 in 85 firms has industrial water facility. Value of wastewater to be used in the project was taken, accepting that all the consupted water turned into wastewater and treatment plant was planned the way that involves physical and biological units. It is concluded that sizes which were taken and calculated depending to the value of flow and other selected parameters were taken at minimum or approximate to the minimum of value rangers given in the literature. Parameters and sizes of units effective in sizing were analysed using the value of literature and it is concluded that sizing and preference of some selected process types were done accepting the wastewater not as industrial but universal and was taken at the minimum value depending the sizing parameters. Supposed that watewater is characterised rightly, it is seen that size values described in the literature values are tried to be adapted. According to Hürriyet Inc. treatment park staff, as the periots of airing is long in a way that unit of active slurry has a volume of 34,65m3 it is assumed in high volume and it is seen that design parameters are taken in available values in order that amount of slurry will not be much. It is observed that acceptances runned and values used for sizings in other units are commonly used values or approximate to the minimum values.
