Firstly, repairment and reinforcement studies of structures, quality control of hardenedconcrete is essential. Though destructive, semi destructive and non destructive methods are
used in the quality of hardened concrete, destructive methods are known more reliable. Themethod of taking core specimen among the other destructive methods is used most
commonly. In this method, cylindrical core specimens are taken from appropriate locations ofa structure and the specimens are tested to estimate the quality of concrete. In practice,
concrete class introduced as a function of strength of standard specimen, all of the parametersmust be considered in order to convert from the strength of core specimen to strength of
standard specimen.The main purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of cure condition which is one
of the important parameters. The first section is one for an overview, whereas in the secondsection, concrete test specimens with different compositions and cure conditions are
produced. In the third section, central compressive and rebound hammer tests have been madeon test samples, obtaining compressive strengths and rebound hammer values of samples.
Findings from testing are comparatively studied. Conclusions and recommendations fromentire study are summarized in the fourth section. Finally, a reference list is given.
The conclusions show that it is impossible to estimate the concrete class truly withoutconsidering the effect of cure conditions.
