      Many manufacturing industrial automation, monitoring, control systems as well as in tunnels

are used.

      In Turkey in recent years, parallel to the development of tunnel construction techniques as

the number and length of tunnels has increased. As a result, the safety criteria applied to the tunnel

      is also important. Depending on the criteria used in this tunnel of automation systems has become

widespread. Europe and OECD countries is important, especially after the Mount Blanc Tunnel fire

      has become a topic that is discussed.

This study used in the tunnel systems were examined, analyzed, and examples of automation

      has been a tunnel models.

Lighting control system in the tunnel of the PLC with the information received by

      luminansmetreden is done in the tunnel ventilation system for the control of carbon monoxide

detectors received and opinions clearly with the information maintained by the PLC. At the same

      time, these systems also can be controlled by the tunnel control center operator. In the tunnel fire

detection, digital fiber optic fire detection system is being done by established, Tunnel Control

      Center in case of fire alarm signal is received.

This thesis was examined in Turkey any emergency situation in some tunnels, which are

      open systems is important. PLC automation has been a model tunnel.
