With the ever increasing demand for data communication methods, power line communication has become an interesting alternative method for data communication. The purpose of this study is to summarize measurements which characterize the empedance of the powerline communication systems in the carrier frequency region from 10 to 170 kHz. These frequencies were determined the standart of CENELEC A, B, C, D. On the other hand, the signal attunuating values have been experimantally determined for differentconditions on power line.
Measurements have been made in the different environments such as urban homes, rural homes and industrial areas. Some emprical models have been developed for power line communication system in Turkey. The result of these measurements have been presented in tables and graphics forms. These models have the parameters of empedance and frequency. In addition, with developing line models for different situation , power line communication have been simulated. with getting the experimantal values, the equations have been developed with making approach with appropriate to power line empedance.
